Art Acquisition and Exhibition Philosophy and Policy

UConn Health Center Art Advisory Committee

The fine arts at the University of Connecticut Health Center serve the purpose of enhancing our environment to promote the sense of a caring community of healing for our patients, staff and students.

Art on our campus is intended, then, to augment an individual’s sense of self-worth by engaging the spirit of the larger human family and the natural world of which we are all a part.

The art selected, therefore, is meant to provide an aesthetic experience consistent with our mission of excellence and dedication in and to the health sciences.

Art will be selected, acquired and exhibited through the UConn Health Center Art Advisory Committee.
